Haze 22 October 2015

 The Haze problem is getting worse in Perak . Several schools are given a day off . According to the news , this situation will go on till March next year . Please everyone ... take precautions to stay healthy ... this , together with typhoid , which has emerged recently , are the major concerns of our nation now . Let us all do our part in overcoming these two problems .  Keep safe Malaysians !!!

Pointers for 1st semester students

Hello one and all.... i should have written about this earlier but i was caught up in work .... welll, better late than never ..right..?

So...what was it that i should have written earlier you may ask... it's the little matter known as ASSIGNMENTS ..... you know...the small booklet that contains words ... or other stuff that your lecturer asks you to prepare in an allocated time frame...

Yessssss....THAT assignment....

When preparing assignments,  please take note on some requirements to be fulfilled.

1. The colour of the cover page....
 Please pay attention to the course coordinator's instructions because HE/SHE is the one who prepared the assignment. He will tell you what colour should the cover be in.

2. The content of an assignment

 Basically , an assignment consists of :
 a) content page
 b) essay
 c) reference page
      - books , journals etc
 d) appendix
       - articles , pictures etc

3. If you are asked to prepare a cd and you wish to attach it in your assignment booklet or in an envelope.  Whatever the containment is, please put the cds into cd sleeves as shown below.

and NOT in plastic bags as the one below. ..PLEASE ... 

One more.......Most important......

PLEASE GET YOUR COURSEWORK TITLES CORRECT ...!!!

3 students' assignments ..supposed to be from the same lecturer and on the same subject !! But somehow they looked as if  they're from different classes and/or from different lecturers ....!!!!!  hhmmmmm 

Assignments are formal AND serious piece of work...so please give it your SERIOUS and FORMAL attention.

Went to supervise my two trainees' teaching today... Language Arts lesson. Quite amazed at the outcome of the lessons and the response thst the pupils gave . Although it was quite chaotic,  the outcome was apparent. ...

1st lesson : Year 5

To me , the trainees did tremendously well today ...the pupils gain knowledge while having fun... a well deserved congratulations to both of you.

Public Speaking

Congratulations to my R1 ( Bahasa Melayu Group ) on their effort to do public speaking in English.  I know it's difficult and challenging but you have proved that it can be done .

A Happy Idulfitri to all.... students , lecturers , staffs....
May this year be better than before ....

However..... i was quite shocked to see this in a place where teachers are born.....

Rubbish being thrown. .... but not in the dustbin !! How are these teachers-to-be going to teach their pupils cleanliness when they themselves do not practise it in their everyday lives..? 

I did post about this matter a while back when i took a photo of rubbish on the lid of a closed dustbin ... it seems that this has become a norm rather than a wrongdoing. ... how do i get these trainees to be more alert on the cleanliness of their surroundings..? Any ideas...?

2 of the 6 groups from R1 in a debate...lively...full of confidence  Congratulations.... very  proud of you guys....

This little activity was held to train the learners in public speaking. This is important especially when we're dealing with students who are not TESLians.  The first step is to polish their sense of confidence. It is important that these students have a high degree of confidence because they're using a foreign language and not their mother tongue . It takes a whole lot of guts to deliver your point of view in a language other than your own ..Keep up the good work....
