For the umpteenth time... please understand .....

Your respective tutors do NOT have any power on giving you the permission to go home early for the holidays . If you have any reason to do so , please consult the HEP !! They are the best place for you to refer to regarding this matter. I have written about the consequences of your actions if you chose to go home early in my previous post. You are all adults ...so..make the correct choice ...as how a responsible teacher would..

        Semasa sessi praktikum unit J di Taiping baru-baru ni , saya ada menerima lapuran peribadi dari seorang penolong kanan di salah sebuah sekolah yang menerima guru pelatih IPG Kampus Ipoh mengatakan bahawa ada guru pelatih kita yg menanda buku murid secara holistik.... iaitu satu tanda betul yg besar diikuti dgn tandatangan pendek ( initial ) . Ini ialah satu  kesalahan ......
        Ketahuilah kamu bahawa semasa menanda buku murid di sekolah, ada beberapa elemen yg wajib kita ikuti ...

1. Penilaian
Kerja murid mesti ada tanda salah / betul .... jangan
 tanda dengan satu tanda betul yg besar utk semua soalan.

2. Pembetulan
Semua kerja yg kita tanda tu bila ada salahnya ,  kita wajib betulkan ... jgn tanda salah sahaja... berikan jawapannya .

3. Kemaskini
Selepas ditanda , tuliskan tarikh supaya kita tahu bila kerja itu disemak .

4. Etika
Kita mesti bertanggungjawab di atas semakan yg kita
buat dengan menurunkan tandatangan pendek ( initial )
supaya dapat di kenali penyemaknya .

5.pengiktirafan
Berilah maklumbalas pada kerja murid seperti ...A...B...Good         ....Baik .....dsbnya.

Ada tanda salah ...ada Pembetulan. .. tarikh dan tandatangan pendek ....

Ditanda SETIAP satu ...ada tandatangan pendek , tarikh dan pengiktirafan A ..

Semester 1 students...... take heed ....

Your attendance to lectures are EXTREMELY important . It's like playing with dominoes where once you knock down the first piece , it will knock down ALL the pieces on its own . All YOU did was knocking down the 1st piece .... meaning YOU STARTED IT ...so , whatever happened after that would be of YOUR doing ... don't blame anyone else BUT you !

You skip lecture and go back to your hometown early :

Scenario 1

Met with an accident - at that time you SHOULD be in college - insurance would not cover your injuries - you will be called by HEP for skipping class AND attempting to go home early - disciplinary action taken - will go into your permanent report - will affect your SPP interview - will affect your posting

Scenario 2

Your attendance would not be enough - barred from taking the exam - disciplinary action taken - will go into your permanent report - will affect your SPP interview - will affect your posting 

SO .......

Why look for trouble ? Just attend your classes as usual , do and submit your assignments and stay out of trouble .... you will be fine .

Action Research

These past few days have been hectic for me as marking the students' AR is not a walk in the park but actually in a JURASSIC park .

I have marked the drafts and returned them to their respective owners but still the end product contained the SAME errors as in the drafts . Why ?

I need to rest ....

Semester break

Semester break is here and so are the excuses that some trainees come up with so that he /she is able to go home early . What hurts the most is that some of these trainees are from first year !

Ok guys , listen ! You are in a TEACHER'S college , undergoing training to become TEACHERS , a person with high integrity and beliefs .

Seniors .... you should be showing the freshies how to deal with college life the POSITIVE way... NOT the negative way . If it is an emergency , then I am ok with it but skipping 1 hour lecture just to be able to go home ? Seriously ??

I know how some of you think , when it comes to semester break...I was a trainee too once before ... remember? I was homesick too .. but I would never skip lectures to go home .

I sincerely hope that next semester would be different ...

Mentoring and Coaching course

A mentoring and coaching course was held from the 2nd to the 4th September at Rumah Peranginan Persekutuan Cameron Highlands ... such comfortable accommodation right next to a strawberry farm... how convenient .
The facilitator was En Razak from IAB ... he's a lecturer in IAB on mentoring and coaching . A fruitful course .... we learnt a lot . We now know the difference between a coach and a counselor.  Nice job everyone .
